
Asset ISSENALI – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea.
Born on April 8, 1980, in Almaty. In 2001, he graduated from the Kazakh State Law Academy, and in 2005 from the Diplomatic Academy of Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
He began his diplomatic career in 2001 as a Leading Specialist of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2003, he served as Attaché of the Department of International Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2003 to 2008, he worked as Attaché and later as Third Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Malaysia.
From 2008 to 2011, he served at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Singapore as Second Secretary and First Secretary.
From 2012 to 2018, he held the position of Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea.
From 2019 to 2024, he worked as Consultant, Inspector, and Head of the Sector of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea, since July 2024 he served as Deputy Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He has the diplomatic rank of Counsellor of the I class.
