Air Astana Strengthens its Position in Saudi Arabia with New Destinations and Services

Jeddah, September 16, 2024 —  Madiyar Menilbekov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Ruslan Kospanov, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Jeddah, participated in a ceremonial event organized by the national airline «Air Astana» and its regional partner, the Saudi tourism operator «Al-Ahram».

The event was also attended by Galymzhan Bazilbayev, company's Regional General Manager for the Gulf countries and Saudi Arabia,  the management of Jeddah Airports Company (JEDCO), representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Saudi tourism companies and local Mass Media.

During the presentation on the operational activities of the Kazakh airline, G.Bazilbayev noted that thanks to the support of the Embassy and Consulate General of Kazakhstan, as well as effective cooperation with local authorities, Air Astana flights will be received at the new and modern Terminal 1 of Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) from the end of this year.

Additionally, it is expected that in the coming months, additional flights from Almaty to Medina, as well as new routes from Shymkent to Jeddah and Medina, will be launched. The goal is to provide comfortable and convenient conditions for passengers traveling between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

The company representative shared plans for further expansion, including developing new routes and improving passenger services, emphasizing Air Astana's commitment to strengthening its position in global markets.

The event's participants had the opportunity to explore the company's products and services, which highlighted the high level of comfort and safety provided to passengers.
