A joint event dedicated to the Nauryz holiday was held in Riga

Riga, March 14, 2025 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia, together with the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, solemnly celebrated the Nauryz holiday in the Latvian capital.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia, Dauren Karipov, emphasized the spiritual, moral, and historical significance of Nauryz for the Kazakh people. The Kazakh diplomat noted that the celebration of the spring equinox teaches us to appreciate harmony with nature, respect the traditions of our ancestors, and strive for peace and unity.

The Kazakh cultural segment of the event was represented by pianist Eleonora Kotlibulatova and violinist Aiken Aitbai. The musicians masterfully performed a selection of well-known folk and international classical and traditional music pieces, delighting guests with their artistry.

Additionally, guests were treated to a traditional Kazakh dastarkhan.

The celebration was attended by Latvian political figures, members of the diplomatic corps, business representatives, media, public and cultural organizations, as well as compatriots residing in Latvia.
