A Gala concert of the folklore ensemble "Murager" dedicated to the Republic Day was held in Riga

Riga, November 1, 2024 – in Riga, on the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia, on the occasion of the national holiday - Republic Day, a Gala concert "Melodies of the Great Steppe" of the folklore ensemble "Murager" of the Atyrau Regional Philharmonic named after Nurmukhan Zhanturin was held in the large concert hall of the Splendid Palace cinema.

The event was attended by Latvian officials, representatives of diplomatic missions, the media, the expert community and art, public and cultural-educational circles, Latvian business, as well as compatriots living in Latvia.

Speaking at the opening of the festive concert, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Latvia Dauren Karipov noted that in the more than 30 years since the declaration of sovereignty, we have begun to build a new country and have achieved economic, political, legal and social progress.

"Kazakhstan has established itself as a responsible state, an authoritative and respected member of the world community, which has put forward a number of important initiatives that have contributed to the development and promotion of dialogue and security in the world," Dauren Karipov emphasized.

It was noted that in recent years, Kazakh-Latvian multifaceted relations have been dynamically developing in all areas and interaction in the cultural sphere is at a high level.

Kazakh artists presented a diverse and rich program that combined works of both folk art and modern Kazakh and international composers, demonstrating to the audience a virtuoso performance on national instruments, winning the hearts of Latvian viewers with their skill and depth of performance.

The Latvian audience was impressed by the diversity and originality of Kazakh culture, melodiousness and heartfelt nature of the performed works.

At the end of the concert, the artists of the "Murager" ensemble were accompanied by thunderous applause and words of gratitude.
