Ambassador of Kazakhstan presented Letters of Credence to the King of Morocco

The first Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Morocco with the residence in Rabat H.E. Mrs. Saulekul Sailaukyzy presented Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

During the official ceremony at the royal palace, the Kazakh diplomat conveyed to the King of Morocco warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and informed that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Morocco.

In turn, King Mohammed VI conveyed warm wishes to the President K.Tokayev stressing that he considers our country a reliable and important partner. The King of Morocco congratulated the Ambassador on the official inauguration and wished her success in her future endeavors.

Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Morocco were established on May 26, 1992. In 2022, the countries will celebrate 30 years since their establishment.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Morocco was opened in 2021.

In January-November 2021, the volume of mutual trade turnover between the two countries increased by 59.8%, amounting to $103.4 million, including exports - $92.9 million, imports - $10.5 million.

Kazakhstan mainly exports sulfur and coal to Morocco. Clothes, shoes, fabrics, seafood, vegetables, and fruits are imported from Morocco to our country.
