The two countries maintain active cultural, humanitarian, educational, and tourism exchanges. Around 20,000 Kazakh tourists visit the Czech Republic every year. In addition, the Czech Republic has become a popular destination for Kazakh students seeking European education, with their total number exceeding 3,000.
Around 10,000 members of the Kazakh community live in the Czech Republic. The Kazakh diaspora organisation Qazaq Nomad regularly holds cultural and public diplomacy events in Prague and other Czech cities. In the spring of 2024, 2025 and 2026, large-scale Nauryz celebrations were held in Pankrác Park in the capital.
From 7 to 31 August 2024, the Prague City Museum hosted the ethnographic exhibition “Caravan of Times” organised by the Association of Museums of Almaty.
The renowned violinist A. Musakhodzhayeva regularly performs in the Czech Republic.
On 22 November 2024, a solo concert by world-famous Kazakh singer Dimash Qudaibergen was held in Prague.
On 20-24 August 2025, the Atameken ensemble of the West Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic took part in the 56th International Folklore Festival in Liptál, Zlín Region.
Kazakh schoolchildren regularly take part in the largest international children’s art competition, Lidice. In 2025, 124 works by children from Kazakhstan were submitted to the competition. One work received the Lidice Rose medal, one work was awarded an honorary diploma, and the Zhuldyz Children’s School of Arts from Ust-Kamenogorsk also received a medal.
A promising area of cooperation is the development of historical diplomacy. Work is under way to search for, study, and restore information about Kazakhstanis who perished during World War II on the territory of present-day Czech Republic, as well as Czech citizens buried in Kazakhstan.
