Ottawa, 12/29/2020 – The Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, congratulated Kazakhstan on the 29th Anniversary of Independence.
In his congratulatory message, Minister Champagne noted that he highly appreciates the relations between the two countries, and also strongly supports the implementation of reforms in Kazakhstan aimed at strengthening the socio-economic well-being of the Republic, effective governance and ensuring the rules based international order.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada highlighted the efforts of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, aimed at achieving sustainable economic growth based on knowledge and the development of human capital through education. The Canadian side also expressed its support in jointly promoting green growth and addressing the challenges posed by climate change.
In addition, Minister Champagne expressed strong support for the commitment of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev to the protection of democratic values, the development of civil society and the strengthening of fair competition. The Canadian side stated that it shares these goals with Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to work together to achieve them.
