
Washington, D.C., June 25, 2024 – A delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Minister of Justice Azamat Yeskarayev, conducted paid a visit to Washington, D.C.
During the visit, a meeting with Bruce Swartz, U.S. Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Justice’s Counselor for International Affairs of was held.
American representatives provided insights into the operations of their agency, shared experiences in international legal cooperation, and discussed aspects of American rulemaking.
The Kazakh delegation, in turn, presented the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to strengthen the rule of law and shared with the progress of democratic reforms in Kazakhstan. In particular, special attention was paid to the implementation of the Action Plan on human rights and the rule of law.
Following the meeting, the parties identified priority areas of mutually beneficial cooperation and outlined plans to strengthen bilateral relations in the legal sphere.
