You can apply for "B1" category Business visa (single entry until 60 days within 90 days / multiple entry until 60 days at each entry within 180 days) if you are:

• attendee of conferences, symposiums, forums, exhibitions, concerts, cultural, scientific, sport and other events;
• attendee of business and expert meetings;

You can apply for "B1" category Business visa (single entry until 60 days within 90 days / multiple entry until 60 days at each entry within 1 year) if you are:

• accompanying humanitarian aid;
• lecturer and professor visiting educational organizations;
• participant of students and youth exchange programs, except with a purpose of study in Kazakhstan.

You can apply for "B3" category Business visa (single entry until 30 days within 90 days / multiple entry until 30 days at each entry within 1 year) if you are:

• negotiator aiming to conclude an agreement;
• member of founding parties and board of directors.

B2 - Business (US Citizens/ non-US Citizens)

 You can apply for "B2" category Business visa (single entry until 30 days within 90 days / multiple entry until 90 days within 180 days) if you are:

• assembling, technical support of equipment specialist;
• worker in the field of audit and consulting.

Required documents 

• Written letter of request (applicable only for "B1" and "B3" category single and multiple entry Business visas) if you are a national of the country from this list. If you are applying for "B2" category Business visa you must have Visa Support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan
• Valid passport: You must submit your passport valid for at least 3 months longer than the validity of the requested visa. The passport must have at least two blank pages for a visa and for entry and exit stamps.
• Visa Application: A separate visa application form must be completed for each person. All fields must be completed, otherwise your application may be refused.
• Visa Fee Payment: Visa fees must be paid by money order addressed to the Consulate General in New York. One may confirm which states are assigned to each consular section. Visa Fees are non refundable

• Photo: One passport size (3.5cm x 4.5cm or 5 x 5cm) photo of the applicant, which should be stapled to the marked space in the upper right hand corner of the application form.
• Letter of Request: A letter with a request to issue a visa addressed to the Consulate General in New York. Please, indicate your name, the purpose of your trip, your contact in Kazakhstan, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited.
• Photocopy of your passport’s main page.
• Self-addressed Envelope: All visa applications must include a self-addressed return envelope with prepaid postage (for residents from states other than New York City).  
• Schedule online appointment.

Notes

Citizens whose country does not have a visa-free entry regime with the Republic of Kazakhstan require an invitation letter from Migration Service of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

The visa process takes about 5 business days from the moment the Consular Section receives the documents. Visa applications must be submitted in-person or using a third party accredited agencies.Applications are not accepted by mail.
