New York’s Wall Street hosted a flag-raising ceremony for the State Flag of Kazakhstan

New York, October 22, 2024 - As part of the Republic Day celebrations, the State Flag of Kazakhstan was raised in the historic district of New York.

The event brought together officials from the New York City Mayor’s Office, members of the Kazakh diaspora, representatives from the business and student communities, as well as diplomats from various countries, the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the UN, and the Consulate General.

During the ceremony, the Mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, extended his congratulations on Republic Day and highlighted the strengthening relationship between the two nations. “We appreciate your contribution and what you bring as a part of our culture,” said Eric Adams, offering his best wishes to the people of Kazakhstan.

In his remarks, the Consul General of Kazakhstan in New York, Rauan Tleulin, underscored the historical significance of Republic Day, emphasizing that the State Symbols embody the nation’s core values and ideals, representing national unity and pride for the country.

The flag-raising on Wall Street, in the heart of Manhattan’s financial district, has become a valued tradition and a cherished event.
