Kazakhstan and Indonesia Develop Cultural and Educational Ties.

Jakarta, September 28, 2026 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Indonesia is participating in the International Week at University Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), aimed at strengthening cultural and educational ties and enhancing the visibility of partner countries.

As part of the event, the Kazakh side presented an exhibition stand. University guests were able to explore the culture and traditions of Kazakhstan through paintings, national costumes, felt products, traditional jewelry, and souvenirs. Students showed great interest in tourist brochures, as well as materials about leading Kazakh universities and educational opportunities in the country. Promotional videos showcasing Kazakhstan's tourism and natural beauties were broadcast on the stand's screen.

Kazakh students, studying at UMN under an exchange program, performed Abay's famous song "Kozimnin Karasy" and presented traditional "Kara Zhorga" dance, which received loud applause from the audience and gave guests a taste of the Great Steppe's rich historical heritage.

Participation in the UMN International Week was a good opportunity to strengthen humanitarian cooperation and introduce Indonesian youth to the cultural heritage and modern achievements of Kazakhstan.
