An international conference on "The Emerging Regional Geo-Political and Geo-Economic Scenarios: challenges and opportunities for Pakistan and Kazakhstan"

Islamabad, 14 June 2022 – An international conference on "The Emerging Regional Geo-Political and Geo-Economic Scenarios: challenges and opportunities for Pakistan and Kazakhstan" was held.

The event was attended by the representatives of leading expert circles and research institutions of Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Mr. Shah Faisal Kakar, Director General of the Department of Central Asian Countries and the Economic Cooperation Organization of Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Abid Chohan, a Labour Party member, former Manchester Lord Mayor, were invited as guests.

During the event, the prospects for further development of cooperation between the two countries in the context of geopolitical and geo-economic situations in the region and world were discussed. Participants assessed the current situation and identified opportunities and challenges for building relationships in the mid-term perspective.

In his welcoming speech, Kazakhstan Ambassador noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan both in bilateral and multilateral formats in the light of current events.
