According to Kazstat trade between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2020 amounted $ 1.17 billion (exports - $ 1.1 billion, imports - $ 68 million), which is higher than the figures for the same period of the last year by 33%.

Traditionally main export items of Kazakhstan are oil and oil products (87% of all exports in 2019), ferroalloys, titanium and titanium alloy products. Kazakhstan imports from the Netherlands medicines, machinery and equipment, high-tech devices and devices, including those used in medicine or veterinary medicine, agricultural products, including flowers.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands is the number one investor in terms of gross direct investment to Kazakhstan. Over 10 years (from 2010 to 2019), the gross FDI volume from the Netherlands to Kazakhstan amounted to 72.4 billion US dollars. Over 10 years (from 2010 to 2019), the gross FDI volume from Kazakhstan to the Netherlands amounted to USD 31.2 billion.

1,070 Dutch related enterprises have been registered in Kazakhstan as of January 1, 2020, including joint ventures, among them 901 are operating. Most of the enterprises are involved in the field of oil and gas, geological exploration, the supply of agricultural machinery and equipment, pharmaceuticals and medicine, the production of consumer goods.

The 5th meeting of the DC took place on October 30, 2019 in The Hague during the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Mamin to the Netherlands.
