Kazakhstan's Ambassador to India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev visited the cities of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad

New Delhi, October 15, 2021 – In order to deepen mutually beneficial trade, economic, investment and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and the Indian state of Gujarat in the period of October 13-14, 2021, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to India Nurlan Zhalgasbayev visited the cities of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad.

During the business trip, the Kazakh diplomat met with B.Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and A.Devvrat , Governor of Gujarat.

During the meetings, the sides noted the high level of political bilateral dialogue, exchanged views on promising areas for the development of economic and cultural cooperation, outlined plans for the implementation of previously reached agreements.

The heads of the State invited the Kazakh business community to take part in the investment conference «Vibrant Gujarat Summit», which is scheduled for early 2022, in order to discuss issues of global socio-economic development, exchange experience and establish effective partnerships.

N.Zhalgasbayev also met with representatives of the business community of the State headed by H.Shah, President of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI). During the conversation, the parties discussed possible ways to enhance trade, economic and investment cooperation, and the participants of the meeting were provided with information about investment opportunities within the framework of the AIFC and KazakhInvest.

The State of Gujarat is located on the northwest coast of India, whose economy is based on the oil and gas, chemical and textile industries. The state has a well-developed production of pharmaceuticals, cement, automobiles, ships and foodstuffs, diamond processing, maritime transport, the financial sector, agriculture and fishing.
