Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Mr Nurlan Zhalgasbayev met with H.E. Mr Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon Minister of Oil and Natural Gas, as well as Minister of Housing and Urban Development of India

New Delhi, September 30, 2021 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Mr Nurlan Zhalgasbayev met with H.E. Mr Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon Minister of Oil and Natural Gas, as well as Minister of Housing and Urban Development of India, who is co-chairing the Kazakh-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation (IGC).

The Kazakh diplomat congratulated H.Puri on appointment to a new position and expressed confidence in the further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic partnership.

The parties noted the high level of political dialogue in bilateral and multilateral formats, exchanged views on possible promising areas of enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation, including through the activation of the IGC activities.

Ambassador Zhalgasbayev informed about the current situation and the plans of the leadership of Kazakhstan in the field of economic development in the post-pandemic period, improving the efficiency of the healthcare system, quality education, improving regional policy, forming an effective ecosystem in the labor market, political modernization and protection of human rights.

Minister H.Puri suggested holding a regular meeting of the IGC in the near future in order to continue cooperation between government agencies and business communities of the two country.

The parties agreed to coordinate the timing of the event through diplomatic channels.
