Dhaka - H.E. Mr. Yerlan Alimbayev, non-resident Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bangladesh presented copies of his Credentials to H.E. Mr. Amanul Haq, Chief of Protocol of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People's Republic of Bangladesh.

A.Haq congratulated the Kazakh Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that he will make a great contribution to the promotion and intensification of cooperation between the two states.

During the meeting with Mr. S.Bodiruzzaman, Director of the Department of Eastern Europe and the CIS countries of the Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry, held after the accreditation of the Ambassador, the diplomats discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Bangladesh, interaction within the UN, OIC, Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and other organizations of multilateral cooperation. The two sides noted great potential for boosting trade and economic relations, discussed the ways to further develop them.

Ambassador Alimbayev briefed Bangladeshi colleagues about current political and economic reforms in Kazakhstan and measures being taken to fight the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

Both sides expressed confidence that common interest of the states in further strengthening and intensifying bilateral cooperation in various fields will lead to take serious steps aimed at concrete results.
