The Belgian company «Zingametall» produces and sells the Zinga Corrosion Protection, which was originally invented at the Ghent University of Belgium in the 1970s and has since been used in various sectors of the economy.

Zinga products are a metallic coating (not a paint) and active cathodic protection also providing a passive physical shield. The purity of the zinc used is so high that the dry Zinga coating does not contain toxic elements. Zinga is used in industry, transport, nuclear power plants, and hydroelectric power plants, in the construction of roads and bridges, in oil refining, construction, and urban infrastructure facilities.
