Ambassador Margulan Baimukhan visits Belgian plant «Vandeputte Huilerie»

Ambassador of Kazakhstan M. Baimukhan visited the plant for linseed processing and linseed oil production in Belgium «Vandeputte Huilerie».

During the meeting, specific issues of cooperation in the agro-industrial sector were discussed. Today, the Belgian company already cooperates with a number of Kazakh companies and annually imports about 30-40 thousand tons of Kazakh flax seeds.

According to the owner of «Vandeputte» Henri-François Vandeputte, Kazakh flax is characterized by high quality and richness of useful substances.

Discussing the prospects for cooperation, Ambassador M.Baimukhan informed the Belgian businessman about the situation on the flax seed market in Kazakhstan, investment preferences and the possibilities of free economic zones for foreign investors.

An agreement was reached to consider specific projects in Kazakhstan and organize a trip for «Vandeputte» representatives to Kazakhstan.

The Belgian «Vandeputte Group» is a family business, founded in 1887, specializing in the production of linseed oil. The company uses a mechanical pressing of oilseeds and processes more than 100,000 tons of flaxseeds per year.

«Vandeputte Group» has 2 directions:

- «Vandeputte Huilerie». The company develops and manufactures products based on linseed oil, as well as animal feed (cattle, pig and poultry).
