September 22, Luxembourg. The Kazakh delegation headed by the Commissioner for Children's Rights of Kazakhstan Aruzhan Sain visited the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on a study visit. The visit was organized with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Belgium.
The main purpose of the trip is to study the Luxembourg experience in the field of protection of the rights of children and youth, the Institute of the Commissioner for Children's Rights, as well as to get acquainted with the education system, medical, pedagogical and social support for children with disabilities of the Duchy.
According to the program, the delegation met with the Commissioner for Children's Rights Charel Schmit, the leadership of the Ministry of Education, and also visited the Center for Intellectual Development and the State Institute for Assistance to Children and Youth of Luxembourg.
During the meetings, the parties exchanged views and experience on topical issues and problems of health, social protection of children, as well as countering violence. The Luxembourg delegation made detailed presentations on such important topics as assistance to children(measures to help children, the National Office for Children, the children's rights protection Service), children's rights, the school mediation service and the inclusion system in Luxembourg.
Aruzhan Sain noted the high level of activity of her Luxembourg colleagues and the well-established system of social security for children and youth in Luxembourg, which can be called one of the best in Europe. "Kazakhstan today pays great attention to the issues of health, social security and protection. The experience of the Duchy is useful and important in the context of further development of the system of protection of children's rights," Aruzhan Sain noted.
"Today, during our working meeting with Aruzhan Sain, a number of issues were discussed, which will first of all become an even greater opportunity for close cooperation," said Charel Schmit. " These are issues related to state guarantees of support for the institution of the family, families in difficult living conditions, issues of state and public support for orphans, children left without parental care, children with special needs."
As a result of the event, an agreement was reached to exchange useful information and advice on the protection of children's rights.
