Kazakhstan evacuates citizens from Afghanistan

Almaty, August 18, 2021 - At 17.00 military aircraft C-295 Air Force of the Republic of Kazakhstan successfully landed in Almaty with 42 passengers evacuated from Afghanistan. 25 citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including 15 adults and 10 children, as well as employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, returned to the country.

In addition, fourteen citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were evacuated with the same aircraft. As a humanitarian operation by this aircraft from the IRA were also deported one citizen of Russia and one citizen of Lithuania, who requested the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
