Strengthening Interparliamentary Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and the EU Discussed in the European Parliament

Brussels, 14 October 2025 – Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the European Union, Roman Vassilenko, held a meeting with Member of the European Parliament, who is a member of the Delegation for relations with Central Asia, Ilhan Kyuchyuk.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to strengthen interparliamentary cooperation, with particular emphasis on organizing joint thematic events aimed at increasing the awareness of Members of the European Parliament about Kazakhstan, its foreign policy priorities, and the potential for bilateral and regional cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the issue of transport connectivity, which is considered one of the key priorities in the context of deepening the multifaceted Kazakhstan-EU partnership. The interlocutors underlined the importance of developing sustainable and secure transport corridors that would contribute to expanding trade and economic ties between Europe and Central Asia.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in further advancing constructive dialogue and practical cooperation at the interparliamentary level.
