Luxembourg, June 6, 2025 – As part of a business mission of Kazakh companies to Belgium and Luxembourg, organized by the BeNeLux Chamber of Commerce, a roundtable was held at the Chamber of Commerce of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, focusing on Kazakhstan’s trade, economic, and investment opportunities.
The event, organized by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Luxembourg, brought together representatives of more than 20 leading companies from Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.
Opening the meeting, Cindy Tereba, Director of the International Affairs Department of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the strong dynamics of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries. She highlighted the significant potential for deepening collaboration across various sectors of the economy.
In turn, Tom Reisen, Luxembourg's Ambassador to Kazakhstan, noted Kazakhstan's strategic role in Central Asia and expressed confidence in the prospects for expanding cooperation, particularly in the fields of transport, logistics, and other areas.
Timur Onzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "National Managing Holding Baiterek," presented the holding’s activities and its successful cooperation with Luxembourgish financial institutions. In particular, he noted fruitful collaboration with the European Investment Bank, headquartered in Luxembourg.
Aidar Akkazynov, Counselor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brussels, informed participants about the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to attract and support foreign investors.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants held substantive discussions on specific ways to establish and expand bilateral cooperation.
The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce unites more than 96,000 companies, which account for 75% of the country's salaried workforce and 80% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
