Fashion show of national clothes was introduced in Brazil

Brasilia, November 23, 2023 – in order to popularize the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, as well as to present the mastery of modern Kazakh ethnic design, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Brazil, together with the Club of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions (GCCM), organized a fashion show of national clothing of the popular brand “Tarbiya”, Kazakh’s designer Tarbiya Aidimbaeva.

The collection was specially made for display in Brazil. The images from the Kazakh designer have become the personification of the symbiosis of folk traditions and elements of modern sewing art and design. In addition, they embodied all the elegance, but at the same time carried a powerful message, perfectly conveying the images of the Great Steppe.

The logical conclusion of the fashion show was the demonstration of the main women's collection in the Saka style, reflecting the versatility of the Queen Tomiris’ style.

In the event, held under the motto “Ethnic clothing as an important element of world cultural heritage,” have taken part representatives of Brazilian intellectual circles, the media and the wives of heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states.

Thus, the geography of the presentation of modern art of Kazakhstan’s national design was able to go beyond the region of South America. The fashion show of Kazakh national costumes aroused great interest among the guests of the event, as evidenced by numerous reviews.

It should be noted that the show was accompanied by popular national musical compositions performed by Kazakh violinist Ms.Aiken Aitbay and American pianist Mrs. Jennifer Heemstra, that created a unique authentic atmosphere during the demonstration of costumes.

According to the tradition of the Kazakh Embassy, dishes of national cuisine in a wide variety were also presented to the distinguished guests of the event.
