
Bern, May 27, 2021 – the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Switzerland together with the Joint Chamber of Commerce «Switzerland – CIS» (JCC) organized Webinar on «Opportunities for Kazakh-Swiss business». The Webinar was attended by about 50 Swiss companies and entrepreneurs.
Opening the webinar, JCC Managing Director Dorit Sallis noted the great importance of the Kazakhstan market and the interest of the Swiss business community in expanding business ties with Kazakhstan.
The Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Switzerland J.-P. Periat, confirming this thesis, invited the participants of the webinar to actively establish direct business relations with the Kazakh business.
Welcoming the participants of the Webinar, Kazakhs Ambassador to Switzerland Alibek Bakayev spoke about the investment climate and business opportunities in Kazakhstan, legislative support, benefits and preferences for investors. Special emphasis was placed on the attractiveness of Kazakhstan as a place of business and localization of production in our country.
Managing Director of JSC «NC «Kazakh Invest» Zhandos Temirgali acquainted the participants with the possibilities of participation of foreign companies in the implementation of promising investment projects implemented in Kazakhstan.
Investment Director of AIFC James Martin presented the advantages of doing business on the AIFC site, highlighting its role as a risk-reducing financial and investment platform.
Managing Director of the «Samruk-Kazyna» National Welfare Fund» Yernar Zhanadil, introduced the Swiss businessmen to the new format of the Fund's work as an investment holding, similar to the leading sovereign wealth funds.
At the final part of discussion, the participants discussed in detail the possibilities of cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in Kazakhstan.
