Raw materials, industrial, technological and agrarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany is the focus of the anniversary meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club

Astana, 15 May, 2024 – On Wednesday, the Kazakh capital is hosting the 40th Anniversary meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club, which was solemnly opened
by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Chairwoman of the Board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser.

Representative delegations of the two countries including representatives of government agencies, business associations, expert, scientific and business community, higher and secondary professional educational institutions, held fruitful discussions on such relevant topics as the implementation of the Partnership Agreement in the raw materials, industrial and technological spheres in the new institutional and legal framework, as well as the food security and cooperation in the field of agriculture between Kazakhstan and Germany.

"As a long-standing and reliable institutional partner of Kazakhstan in the development of bilateral foreign economic relations, the Eastern Committee of the German Economy makes a significant contribution to strengthening the potential of the economies of the two countries. The constructive dialogue between the governments of Kazakhstan and Germany for the practical implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of our countries is bearing its successful fruit," Roman Sklyar stressed out.

"Germany is now carrying out extensive work to diversify its foreign economic relations in order to increase the sustainability of supply and production chains.
In this context, it is Kazakhstan that can become one of the main partners in achieving the goals set by the Federal Government," emphasised Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser.

In the course of active discussions, the parties agreed that the economies of Kazakhstan and Germany complement each other in many respects and that mutually beneficial cooperation on the basis of the formula "raw materials in exchange for technology" provides "win-win" results for both parties. To this end, all necessary conditions for doing business in the country have been created.

In addition, against the background of changes in climate and international politics, Kazakhstan and Germany are highly interested in cooperating on the development of sustainable agriculture.
