The President of Kazakhstan and Pope Francis held a bilateral meeting.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the distinguished guest and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Pope for accepting the invitation to participate in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional religions.

On September 10, 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran Askhat Orazbay held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization of the IRI Mohammad Mahdi Imanipur.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing relations between the relevant organizations of Kazakhstan and the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in order to expand cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
In particular, the parties considered ways to implement the initiative to create a joint scientific committee for the study of Farabi's heritage, which was raised during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Iran at his meeting with the Supreme Leader of the IRI A.Khamenei.
In addition, issues of participation of the Iranian delegation headed by M.Imanipur in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held on September 14-15, 2022, in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, were discussed.

On September 5, 2022, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Mr. Askhat Orazbay received the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Iranian air company Qeshm Air Captain Ramin Hamzehei at the premises of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Tehran.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of cooperation in the aviation field between Iran and Kazakhstan, including issues of increasing the number of flights, as well as potential new routes between the two countries.
