The Head of State held the XXXIII session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Unity. Creation. Progress"

The XXXIII session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan "Unity. Creation. Progress", which was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament from the APK, heads and members of republican ethno-cultural associations, APK volunteers, as well as regional delegates of the Assembly via videoconference.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the beginning of his speech noted the large-scale work carried out to overcome the consequences of floods in a number of regions of the country. He stressed that from the first days of the occurrence of the natural disaster, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan has been conducting active and coordinated work, and all this is a living embodiment of solidarity and mutual assistance of citizens.

As the President stated, despite the emerging complex challenges and threats, our country will firmly implement its strategic goals and objectives. He recalled that a long way of systemic political reforms has been passed in a short period of time. As a result, all branches of government have started working in a new coordinate system, the center of which is the protection and promotion of legitimate interests, human rights and freedoms. The transition to a new economic model has begun, which is based on the principles of justice, inclusiveness, pragmatism and lays a solid foundation for improving the well-being of the entire people.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the agenda of the current session of the Assembly is designated as "Unity. Creation. Progress." These three words very accurately and succinctly reflect the essence of our strategic course. According to him, unity and solidarity have always been and will always be the main values and the constant guideline of all state policy.

He pointed out a number of urgent tasks that need to be focused to achieve.

The Head of State considers it necessary to synchronize the activities of the Assembly with the new humanitarian and ideological doctrine.

In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev drew attention to the expanding global cataclysm, the growing confrontation between various states in the military-political, trade-economic and even cultural and humanitarian spheres. He stressed the importance of creating an atmosphere of intolerance in society towards any manifestations of ethnic exclusivity and isolation, especially provocations and attempts to discriminate against citizens on linguistic, ethnic, religious or cultural grounds.

The President pointed out the need to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Assembly and strengthen its interaction with government agencies, Parliament and maslikhats.  It is also necessary to consistently strengthen the role of the Assembly in making state decisions, supporting the reforms carried out in the country, carry out practical activities to identify and prevent possible hotbeds of ethnic and social tension, as well as strengthen its position as a leading institution of social integration and active patriotism.

Summing up his speech, the Head of State noted that in these busy weeks the country is undergoing a nationwide test of strength and ability to overcome this unprecedented natural cataclysm with honor. And our people, united in the days of trials, will take a decisive step into the era of renewal and progress, into a better future.

– We are all citizens of the same country, people of the same destiny, welded by history itself into an indestructible monolith of unity and universal responsibility for the future of our Homeland – the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a nation, we cherish the precepts of our ancestors and look forward confidently. We have a clear and clear goal – to build a Fair Kazakhstan. As President, I see the protection of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan as my main task," Kassym–Jomart Tokayev said.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a number of citizens of the country were awarded state awards for their services in strengthening peace, friendship and cooperation between peoples, as well as the development of the state language. In particular, the Order of Dostyk of the II degree was awarded to the teacher of the Kayyrbekov school No. 2 in Astana, Schneider Elizaveta Alexandrovna; The order "El birligi" was awarded to the chairman of the association "Rada of Ukrainians of Kazakhstan" Timoshchenko Yuri Evgenievich, state and public figure Akhmadiev Murat Abdureimovich, deputy chairman of the Association of Ethnocultural Associations of Uzbeks of Kazakhstan "Dustlik" Sharipov Hassan Khalmatovich; the medal "Yeren enbegi ushin" was awarded to the teacher of Stepnogorsk children's and youth sports school Durachenko Nikolay Nikolaevich, teacher of Atyrau city gymnasium schools No. 3 Lyubina Tatyana Nesterovna;   The Shapagat medal was awarded to Sergey Alexandrovich Panasyuk, the roaster of the Zinc Plant of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Metallurgical Complex, Arkady Nikolaevich Pobedinsky, the accompanist of the Kazakh Musical Drama Theater named after Kozhamkulov region Ulytau, Kirill Alekseevich Ponomarenko, commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Anastasia Valerievna Irubaeva, teacher of the comprehensive school of the village of Araily in the Akmola region. The gratitude of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was announced to the chairman of the scientific expert group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of the East Kazakhstan region, Krasnobaeva Nelly Leonidovna, head of the representative office of the Assembly of Zhastary in the Karaganda region Urmashov Alexander Nikolaevich, head of the institution "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the region Zhetysu Usanova Rufina Kasymovna.
