Kazakhstan Embassy in Jordan held additional briefing for media

On January 24, 2021, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Amman Aidarbek Toumatov held a briefing for representatives of the leading Jordanian news agency “Petra”, in which he provided detailed information about the results of the parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan, as well as the main aspects of the speech of President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev at the opening of the first session of the Parliament of the seventh convocation.

In particular, representatives of the media resource were informed about the tasks that were assigned by the Head of State to the new composition of the Mazhilis, including the implementation of comprehensive reforms aimed at decentralization of the system, modernization of the state apparatus, optimization of the quasi-public sector, and digitization of all procedures.

At the end of the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including the trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as the possible holding of joint events on the occasion of the celebration of the 30^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 100^th anniversary of the establishment of the Jordanian state this year.
