Issues of Cooperation within International Organizations discussed at the Jordanian Foreign Ministry

Amman, 14 June 2026 – A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Jordan, H.E. Mr.Talgat Shaldanbay, and the Director of the International Organizations Department of the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, H.E. Mr.Ali Al-Basoul.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Jordan within the framework of international organizations, including coordination of efforts at multilateral platforms, the promotion of initiatives and candidacies of both countries, as well as prospects for further expanding cooperation through international institutions.

Particular attention was paid to the preparations for the High-Level Conference under the Global Initiative to Strengthen Political Commitment to International Humanitarian Law, which is scheduled to take place in Jordan in December this year. The parties exchanged views on the preparations for the event, discussed the ongoing coordination of the Conference’s outcome documents, and reaffirmed their interest in maintaining close cooperation within the framework of this initiative.

In addition, the interlocutors reviewed issues related to cooperation in the field of water security and exchanged views on the promotion of international initiatives aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation in this area.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further enhancing coordination and developing Kazakh-Jordanian cooperation within international organizations and multilateral mechanisms.
