Attendees were presented with a presentation titled «Nuclear Power Plant Construction in the Republic of Kazakhstan», which highlighted the key aspects and potential consequences of implementing this project.

The briefing  aimed to provide comprehensive and objective information on nuclear energy, its benefits, risks, and potential contributions to the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.

Participants discussed topics such as Kazakhstan's energy security and the possible role of nuclear power in the country’s energy balance, the environmental aspects of nuclear energy, the economic advantages and risks of constructing a nuclear power plant for the national economy, including issues of investment, job creation, and long-term development. The global experience of operating nuclear power plants and the possibility of adapting best practices to Kazakhstan were also reviewed.
