The Head of State received the Special Envoy of the President of Rwanda, Jean Paul Nyirubutama

Astana, 26 September 2024 – In welcoming the special envoy, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev conveyed his best wishes to his counterpart, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda. He expressed his gratitude to the Rwandan side for their commitment to strengthening multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of engagement with African countries, emphasising the importance of further enhancing relations with Rwanda across a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues.

In this context, the President commended the recent signing of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Rwanda on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

In turn, Jean Paul Nyirubutama thanked the Head of State for the warm reception, highlighting Kazakhstan's significant achievements in political and socio-economic spheres.

During the conversation, prospective areas for trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation were also discussed.
