Meeting with the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Addis Ababa, March 16, 2022 - Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia Barlybay Sadykov met with the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Ethiopia Jean Leon Ngandu Idunga.

During the meeting, the topical issues of the day were discussed, including the issue of concluding the Agreement on promotion and reciprocal protection of investments between the two countries.

In addition, the parties exchanged views on the organization of the visit of the Kazakh delegation to the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the current year in order to intensify trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Considering that the DRC, after its Presidency in the African Union, remains a member of its Troika this year, certain issues of interaction with the African Union were discussed. In particular, issues of cooperation between the AU and the Organization of Turkic Speaking States were discussed.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the DRC.
