Kazakhstan and the UAE Move towards  Stronger Bilateral Agenda  With New Joint Investment Projects

Madiyar Menilbekov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates met with Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates. The Ambassador noted the congratulations addressed to the UAE leadership by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Head of State, on the occasion of the successful entry of Hope Probe into the Martian orbit.

The meeting reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation as well as, the events planned to be held with the participation of the leadership of the two countries. Ambassador Madiyar Menilbekov noted that a number of high-level mutual visits were planned with the aim to push forward the trade, economic and investment cooperation, given the high potential of investment projects in agriculture, mining and metallurgy, tourism, air communications and construction.

Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed confirmed Abu Dhabi's interest in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan, while positively assessing the rapid development of mutually beneficial partnership in all major areas, despite the difficulties that the world is facing today. According to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed the fact that the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence and the 50th Anniversary of the UAE in December this year are simultaneously celebrated in both countries, “should motivate the parties to work out a stronger bilateral cooperation agenda with mutually beneficial joint projects in accordance with ambitious goals set by the leaderships of the two states, while crossing the new stage in their development".

The meeting took place at the IDEX-2021 International Defense Exhibition platform. The Kazakh delegation headed by Ruslan Shpekbayev, the Deputy Minister of Defense and by Talghat Zhanzhumenov, the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development takes part in the four-day event.
