Required Documents for a Successful Visa Application

 

1. The Invitation Letter: A Visa Invitation Letter (or a Visa Support Letter) is an official invitation to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Visa Support Letter is issued by a licensed tourism agency, which submits it to the Migration Authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan for consideration. After receiving the permit from the Migration Authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, you will receive a telex number (the number of the visa invitation) by e-mail. After all of this is done, you can appeal to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan along with a copy of the telex number, or obtaining the Kazakhstan tourist visa (visa application form).

 

2. Valid passport: You must submit your passport valid for at least 3 months longer than the validity of the requested visa. The passport must have at least two blank pages for a visa.

 

3. Visa Application: A separate visa application form must be completed for each person. All fields must be completed; otherwise, your application may be refused. Please see Visa application instructions for details. Download the visa application form.

 

4. Photo: One passport size (3,5 x 4,5) photo of the applicant, which should be stapled to the marked space in the upper right hand corner of the application form. Please see Photo requirements for details.

 

5. Copy: Photocopy of your passport’s main page and Residency Visa or Emirates ID

 

6. Documents confirming the payment of the consular fee or state duty (original).

 

Fees:  Single-entry-60$ (222 AED); Multiple entry-90$ (331 AED)

The consular fees paid are non-refundable.

 

Notes

The visa process takes about 2-5 business days from the moment the Consular Section receives the documents.

In cases stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a foreigner may be refused a visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

All visa applications and most consular documents must be submitted to a consular section in-person by the applicant. Visa applications may not be sent by mail or courier.

The citizens of the countries from the list below can obtain a visa for Kazakhstan by appealing in person to one of the consular offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan (no invitation or visa support letter is required in this case):

The citizens of all other countries are to go through two stages to get a visa to Kazakhstan:

1.Obtainment of a visa support letter (permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan).

2.Obtainment of the visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Note: During pandemic of COVID-19, visa permits are restricted until further notice.
