Amazon Kuiper: A New Step in the Satellite Communications Industry of Kazakhstan

In an effort to foster cooperation in space technology and satellite communications in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry (Ministry) and Amazon Kuiper have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The execution of the document opens up new prospects for innovating in the satellite communications industry in the country.

The Memorandum is aimed at joint cooperation for deployment of Amazon Kuiper's low earth orbit satellite communication services across Kazakhstan. Cooperation with Amazon Kuiper creates a foundation to enable access to high-speed internet in any part of the country through high-throughput and low latency satellite communications.

The Minister Zhaslan Madiyev emphasized: "The signing of the memorandum is an important step towards the modernization of Kazakhstan's satellite communications industry. Cooperation with Amazon Kuiper will allow us to implement modern satellite technologies, which, in turn, will contribute to the digitalization of the economy and the improvement of the population's quality of life."

Jeff Kietzmann, a representative of Amazon Kuiper, noted: "We are pleased to cooperate with the Ministry and are confident that our joint efforts will benefit customers in Kazakhstan. This will expand the possibilities of using low-earth orbit satellite communications to address modern challenges."
