Kazakhstan Joins the AI Opportunity Partnership

Kazakhstan has joined the Joint Statement on the AI Opportunity Partnership, an initiative aimed at advancing trusted international cooperation in artificial intelligence, technological progress, and economic security.

The document was signed in Washington, D.C., behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan by Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The AI Opportunity Partnership sets out a shared approach among partner countries to the development of artificial intelligence. It focuses on pro-innovation regulation, support for entrepreneurs and startups, the advancement of R&D, the mobilization of private investment, expanded access to compute infrastructure, and the development of secure and trusted AI ecosystems.

A central focus of the document is the physical foundation of artificial intelligence, including critical minerals, energy, data centers, compute capacity, semiconductors, engineering talent, and resilient supply chains.
