Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in the world ranking of universities QS WUR

Yesterday the results of Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) – 2025 ranking were published. Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University took 1401+ place.
1503 universities were rated, with 21 of them coming from Kazakhstan.
The QS World University Rankings were compiled by experts who assessed world universities based on the following criteria:
- Academic reputation – 30%;
- The average number of quotes – 20%;
- Reputation among employers – 15%;
- Employment of graduates – 5%;
- Ratio of teaching staff to students -10%;
- Share of foreign students – 5%;
- Share of foreign teachers – 5%;
- International Research Network - 5%;
- Stability - 5%.
Universities assessed each criterion, and then calculated a total score from these assessments. It determines the university’s place in the ranking.
In 2024, 5663 higher education institutions from 106 countries participated in the ranking. This is more than in 2023 (2963).
