Training on constitutional justice for lawyers of state bodies

The training on constitutional justice for lawyers of state bodies was organized by the Constitutional Court in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan with the support of the TAIEX program. The purpose of the training was to enhance professional development in the field of constitutional justice.

The speakers were Roman Podoprigora, judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Thomas Offenloh, judge of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, and Dr. Thomas Davulis, judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania.

The seminar was attended by the staff of the apparatuses of the Constitutional Court, the Parliament, the President, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Commissioner for Human Rights, the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice, scientific organizations, as well as lawyers and legal consultants.

The participants of the training were told about the peculiarities of constitutional control in the practice of constitutional courts of Kazakhstan, Germany and Lithuania, legal consequences of constitutional court decisions, approaches to constitutional assessment of gaps in national legislation.

The event also included an exchange of practices between judges of constitutional courts of the three countries.
