June 4 – Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan

June 4, 1992 is a significant date in the history of our country. On this day, for the first time the state symbols of Kazakhstan were approved that embodies its Independence and identity. The unshakable foundations of sovereignty - the Flag, the State Emblem and the Anthem introduced to the world a state called the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On June 4, 2007, the Constitutional Law “On State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan” was adopted that in accordance with the Constitution establishes the description and procedure on the official use of state symbols.

According to the Law, June 4th is celebrated annually in Kazakhstan as the Day of State Symbols.

The enduring respect for the sacred symbols of our Independence is the duty of every Kazakhstani citizen.
