New map of Kazakhstan

On May, 19, 2023 about the new administratively-political map of Republic of Kazakhstan with the accrued areas on brifing the chairman of Committee of geodesy and cartography of Ministry of Digital development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bekmukashev K.A.

The project was implemented as part of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the creation of new regions in Kazakhstan. Recall that on May 3, 2022, the regions of Abai, Zhetysu, Ulytau were formed in the Republic.Thus, the presented political and administrative map of Kazakhstan reflects the new borders of Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, as well as the location of the newly formed regions of the country. In addition, the department also presented thematic maps of Abai, Zhetysu, Ulytau, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda regions and at the same time the plan-schemes of their regional centers.

Thus, as part of the implementation of the decree:

  • Political and administrative map of the Republic of Kazakhstan at 1:1 500000 scale;
  • Maps of Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Almaty regions were updated and maps of the Abay, Ulytau, Zhetysu region were created on a scale of 1:1000 000;
  • Map of the cities of Karaganda, Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk in scale 1:25000;
  • Schematics of the cities Zhezkazgan, Qonaev and Taldykorgan in scale 1:10

The new cards have already been handed over to all interested state bodies. In addition, both natural and legal persons can purchase the cards. To do this, it is necessary to submit an application to the RSE «National Centre of Geodesy and Spatial Information», choosing a state service «Issuance to subjects of geodetic and cartographic activity of information on geodetic and cartographic study of the terrain in the areas of planned work». All maps are visually and for selection can be viewed on the website nkgf.kz.

As well, at the request of the state bodies provided 49, on the request of individuals and legal entities - 225 thematic maps.
