
On September 14, S. Akhmetov, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chaired a meeting with representatives of the Chinese e-commerce marketplace Pinduoduo.
The parties discussed the taxation of e-commerce activities carried out by foreign marketplaces in Kazakhstan, as well as the exchange of data on goods sold to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Particular attention was paid to enhancing the transparency of cross-border trade, ensuring the accuracy of transaction-related information, and strengthening information sharing between government authorities and digital platforms.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue consultations on technical integration and the procedures for the transmission of information in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The SRC noted that cooperation with international marketplaces will help ensure a level playing field for market participants, enhance trade transparency, and further improve tax administration.
