Qarmet produced the first million tons of steel

Qarmet company has produced its first million tons of steel.

This achievement was made possible thanks to the hard work of the entire team, the company noted.

"The average monthly steel production amounted to 300 thousand tons, which is 50 thousand tons higher than last year. It is already planned to produce 326 thousand tons of steel this month. This will be facilitated by the commissioning of converter number 2 after repair," commented Andrey Berg, Director of the Qarmet Steel Department.

An increase in demand for products is also reported.

The adopted Localization strategy is aimed at meeting the needs of the domestic market.

According to the company, in 4 months of 2024, compared to the same period last year, Qarmet increased sales of flat rolled products by 8%, and sales of products in Central Asian markets increased by 15%.
