Nine medals were won by rowers from Temirtau at the Asian Championship

Nine medals for five competitors were won by rowers from Temirtau at the Asian Rowing and Canoeing Championships. Athletes under 23 years of age took part in the competition.

The continental Championship was held in Samarkand. The rowing canal in the third most populous city of Uzbekistan is the first built in Central Asia and meets the Olympic requirements. Famous athletes from 11 countries competed at the championship.

The rowers from Temirtau showed a real fighting character and showed excellent results. Seven medals were won by pupils of the branch of the regional sports boarding school-сollege of the Olympic Reserve named after Aliya Moldagulova.

Dmitry Kholmogorov won three gold medals in kayaking (single 1000 m, double 1000 m, four 500 m). The coach is Vladimir Petrov.

Veronika Trapeznikova has three medals in her piggy bank: gold in kayaking (four 1000 m) and two bronze medals (single 1000 and 500 m).

Maria Karmanova became the bronze medalist in canoeing (four 500 m).

Vladislav Dronov, a pupil of the Olympic Reserve Sports School for Children and youth in rowing, took second place in kayaking (four 500 m). The coach is Anton Romanishko.

Silver in kayaking (four 500 m) was won by Viktor Khamazin, a student of the School of Higher Sports Skills. The coach is Vladimir Egorov.
