A new boiler is being built at the Balkhash thermal power plant

The Balkhash thermal power plant – one of the oldest in the Karaganda region – is expanding capacity. A new, fifth boiler is being built here. This will solve the problem of heat shortage and improve the heat supply of citizens.

During a working trip to Balkhash, Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev visited the CHP. The head of the region checked the operation of the heat source.

The Governor of the region was informed about the passage of the heating season. They told about the modernization of the station and the progress of work on the construction of the fifth boiler.

Ermaganbet Bulekpayev also got acquainted with the construction of a new polyclinic, the construction of which was requested by residents of Balkhash.

Then the akim of the region visited the Balkhash-1 station, where residential buildings are being built according to the type of townhouses. Two-storey houses are designed for socially vulnerable categories of citizens, including large families and orphans from the waiting list. Two townhouses have already been built, there will be four more. In addition, two 45-apartment buildings will be commissioned in Balkhash this year and two high-rise buildings will be built.

After visiting the facilities, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev met with residents of Balkhash. An open dialogue took place. The townspeople asked urgent questions. They mainly concerned housing and communal services, landscaping, roads and public transport.

Balkhash residents asked to update the outdated bus fleet. They were informed that this issue will be resolved soon. A new carrier has come to the city, which will purchase new buses. In turn, subsidies for passenger transportation will be increased from the budget.

Eco-activists of Balkhash complained about spontaneous landfills on the lake shore. They suggest installing video cameras. Their request has been heard. During the improvement of the embankment, video surveillance will be provided.

- Our main task is to improve the lives of Balkhash residents, to provide stable heat and water supply. Repair of networks and roads, landscaping will continue. We have fixed all the questions and complaints of residents, we will work out," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the region held a personal reception of citizens.
