"One of the best scenes in the country": 70 years of the Palace of Culture of Miners of Karaganda

The Palace of Culture of Miners of Karaganda celebrated its 70th anniversary. In the foyer, guests of the festival were greeted by figures of workers – copies of those installed on the roof of the building, and awards for years of work – cups and medals.

In honor of the anniversary, a concert was given on the PCM stage. Before it began, the audience was shown a film about the history of the temple of culture, and then veterans and current employees were honored.

— For 70 years of its existence, the Palace of Culture of Miners has become a place of attraction for residents of the city of all ages, — said Deputy Akim of the region Yerbol Alikulov. He presented the employees of the palace with honorary diplomas of the akim of the Karaganda region, and those who distinguished themselves professionally were awarded the badge "Distinguished in culture".

— On our anniversary, in the context of 70 years, we wanted to show what work the palace has done, to tell the residents of the city about its history. I am very glad that my work is marked with the mark " Distinguished in culture", — shared the head of the DKG Zharulla Akishev. — This year I have been working in the field of culture for 46 years. And this is my first high award. Three more colleagues were awarded together with me. In total, 116 people work in our palace, 70 percent of them are young people.

Also on the anniversary day, the ensemble of veterans "Looking" received the title of "People's".

The guest of the evening, People's Artist of Kazakhstan Roza Rymbaeva, addressing words of congratulations to the residents of Karaganda, said that she was glad to perform on one of the best stages of the country.

— I've been on stage for almost half a century. Over the years, she has performed 20 times on the stage of the Miners' Palace of Culture. Karaganda is a favorite city. Always a full house, and always with such kindness and love I am received. I heartily congratulate one of the best scenes of our republic on the anniversary, — says Roza Rymbaeva.

The Palace of Culture of Miners is a symbol of the city of Karaganda. In 1940, according to the project of local architects Joseph Brener and Yakov Yanosh, the construction of the recreation center was started. In 1952, the building was fully commissioned. And already in 1983, the palace acquired the status of an architectural monument.

Today, 25 creative collectives work in the PCM, three of them have the title of "People's".
