120 investment projects will be implemented in the Karaganda region in the coming years, 29 of them this year. The region relies on the mining industry and processing: a hot-dip galvanizing plant is operating, the production of televisions and washing machines has been launched. These and other issues were discussed at a meeting in the Akimat, where they discussed the implementation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's Message "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current challenges and their solutions through digital transformation."

Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev noted that the region should become a platform for the introduction of advanced ideas.
– The Karaganda region, known as the industrial heart of the country, should be among the leaders in fulfilling these tasks. We have a powerful industrial base, qualified personnel and significant agricultural potential. The region should become a laboratory of the future of Kazakhstan, where traditional production and new technologies, heavy industry and digital solutions will combine," said Ermaganbet Bulekpayev.

According to the deputy akim of the region Ermek Alpysov, investments are now actively attracted in the region. New projects will create over 20,000 jobs.
– Mechanical engineering, production of rubber and plastic products, as well as new areas of processing are becoming the drivers. The Saryarka SEZ and the Saran industrial zone are successfully operating," says the deputy akim of the region. –There is an Investor Service Center operating on a one-stop-shop basis.
Geological exploration is developing in the region, which will expand the mineral resource base and launch enterprises for processing rare earth metals.

The Karaganda region is demonstrating success in diversifying the economy. Last year, the volume of products produced at the enterprises of the region exceeded 3 trillion tenge.
The President stressed the importance of sustainable development. The Karaganda region plans to invest 1.6 trillion tenge in the modernization of production and the introduction of new technologies at Qarmet enterprises.
Special attention is paid to tourism. The Head of State called it one of the promising areas capable of giving the economy an additional boost. Key tourist centers have been identified in the region and steps have been outlined for the development of new routes.
Summing up the meeting, Ermaganbet Bulekpayev recalled that the main challenge outlined in the Message is preparation for the future, where technocentrism plays a key role.
– These initiatives are just the beginning of the work. We all need to join forces for the high-quality and timely implementation of the President's Message. Success is directly related to the well-being of people and the sustainable development of the country. Therefore, we need to act together, as one team," the governor of the region emphasized.
