The Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (hereinafter referred to as the IAEA) together with the RSE at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the RSE "INP") conducted a National Introduction Course from March 27 to 31 this year in nuclear forensics.
The course was held at the Nuclear Safety Training Center of the RSE "INP", Almaty.
The aim of the course was to improve awareness of the capabilities of nuclear forensics in terms of preventing and responding to events related to nuclear security.
Specialists of organizations dealing with issues in the field of nuclear physical safety, accounting and control of nuclear materials and ionizing radiation sources were invited to participate in this event, namely:
Committee;
RSE on PCV "National Nuclear Center" of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
RSE on PVC "Institute of Nuclear Physics" of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
JSC "UMZ";
LLP "MAEK";
JSC "NAC "Kazatomprom".
According to the results of the event, participants were provided with an international certificate confirming the passage of the above-mentioned seminar.
