
On December 1, 1998, the State National Natural Park «Karkaraly» was established by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 1212.
The purpose of the opening of the national natural park with a total area of 112,120 hectares is to preserve and restore the unique natural complexes of the Karkaraly and Kentish mountain forests.
The park consists of 4 forestry and zoological reserves «Beldeutas» and «Bektauatа» with a total area of 45,160 hectares.
Acting Chairman of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee Daniyar Turgambayev congratulated the staff of the Karkaraly State National Nature Park on its 25th anniversary and wished further success.
The protection of the Karkaraly forest began on March 1, 1884. The results of systematic work carried out for more than a century are being used for the benefit of the country.
