Snow leopards of the Almaty Nature Reserve

The snow leopard (snow leopard) is a large predatory mammal of the felidae family that lives in the mountains of Central Asia.

 The female snow leopard mainly brings one cub. However, in 2020-2022, the camera trap lens recorded a female with two cubs three times, and in 2020, the birth of three cubs was registered for the first time.

Mammals inhabit all gorges of the Almaty Reserve. This territory is the main breeding ground for individual species and populations of snow leopards.
