Representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan studied the international framework for performance measurement of supreme audit institutions

Representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in an advanced workshop on the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF), which was held in Manila (Philippines) on June 4-7.

The Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework provides a basis for their independent or collegial external evaluation based on international standards and other best practices. This allows the supreme audit institutions to confidently interact inside and outside their organization on issues of future development.

Among the main objectives of the workshop were:

  • further strengthening the capacity of the supreme audit institutions in the Asian region;
  • expanding knowledge about the integrated performance assessment system and its application;
  • as well as informing about the methods of independent analysis.

Participation in the event was carried out with the support of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).

For reference: The INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) is one of the bodies of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, which contributes to the capacity building of these institutions and the professional training of state auditors.
